My mom is a strong republican and my dad is a strong democrat so I have 2 views of each candidate. So who do I support? Barack Obama. Not only is he captivating when he speaks, I think he'll also lead America to a brighter future. Obama has good ideas for foreign policy. For example, the war in Iraq. Obama wants to end the war. American lives are being lost in large quantities. Iraqis should step up and lead their own country and not keep depending on US troops for more years. Obama's plan to withdraw troops is responsible and phased, directed by military commanders on the ground and done in consultation with the Iraqi government.I think this is a wise decision to concentrate on our own country's problems before trying to help other countries.
I also agree with his stance on economics and domestic affairs. Obama supports small businesses. My dad has his own business and and its small so why should big businesses get tax breaks when they already make so much money? Obama encourages innovation and job creation. Obama will invest $250 million per year to increase the number and size of incubators in disadvantaged communities throughout the country. I think this can help a lot of people. Domestic affairs such as public education grades K-12 are also important to Obama. He believes teachers shouldn't be spending time teaching students how to take standardized tests but actually learning things they need to know. He also wants to push more math and science which I also think is important to this country prospering. After-school programs also need to be pushed. I play 3 sports and I know other after school programs are important. Obama has many strong ideas. McCain also does but I think Obama's stance on foreign policy, economics, and domestic affairs are stronger and will make the US the best country it can be.
